Product Specifications

The Original Road Runner Jigs are some of the best selling ultralight lures of all time.  More fish have been taken on these small lures than practically every other lure put out by manufacturers to date.  The light jighead features bright eyes to help call the fish in for their meal while the soft Chenille or soft plastic body helps hold scent to get them the fish to hold onto the lure.  If the jighead and body weren’t enough the undulating tail moves perfectly through the water while the small metal spinner blade adds just the right amount of flash to the bait.

Colors Available

You can find the Original Road Runner Jigs in 8 proven fish catching color combinations.  The standard White, Yellow, and Chartreuse are solid colored for times when fish are slightly more aggressive.  When you need to change up the colors you can add in Fluorescent Red, Black, and Green colors to give the fish something else to look at.

How To Work Blakemore Road Runner Jigs

There is one rule when you’re fishing a Blakemore Original Road Runner Jig.  Just when you think you are fishing it slow enough, slow down your retrieve even more.  You need to fish it slow to give the marabou, and spinner blade a chance to work their magic.  The combination of these two materials calls fish in then, when you start jigging the bait back to you, starts ringing the dinner bell alerting any nearby gamefish to it.  If you don’t get bit after working it as slow as possible, try changing up your color or make sure that you are, indeed, sitting on a pile of fish.
