Product Specifications

Rapala knows what anglers want from a lure.  They took some of the most successful traits from their topwater lures and built the Skitter Pop.  The SP05 and SP07 sizes are perfect for ultralight anglers, coming in at 2” and 2-3/4”, and weighing only 1/4oz.  The design of the lure features a large cupped face that produces a loud popping action, with a balsa wood body and moves along the water’s surface in an enticing side-to-side motion, attracting big hits from big fish.  Whether you are popping the lure or working it in a “walk the dog” motion, the Skitter Pop will consistently produce fish each time you head out to the water.

Colors Available

There are 9 main color patterns available on the Skitter Pop.  You can find your standard Chrome/Black Back, Gold/Black Back, Silver/Black Back, and Silver/Blue Back baitfish colors.  When times are tough, you’re fishing in clear water, or need a bait that represents natural forage closer you can get the highly detailed Frog and Lime Frog, or Shad patterns.  For muddy water and high light conditions you can go with the ever-successful Firetiger pattern.

How To Work Rapala Skitter Pop Poppers

When you’re using the Skitter Pop you need to pay attention to what the fish are looking for.  Some days they are going to want the bait sitting just on top of the water without moving.  Other days they may want it popping a few times before coming to a rest, or even worked back to you with a “walk the dog” popping and spitting retrieve.
