Product Specifications

The Pflueger Trion GX-7 series spinning reels are built strong, to remain unflinching under some of the most grueling pressure any ultralight reel will encounter.  The lightweight graphite body and rotor, combined with the aluminum spoon and titanium lip gives you high end performance on an extremely affordable price tag.  The Sure-Click bail system prevents premature closing during your casting stroke, while the 6 stainless steel ball bearings provide incredibly smooth line retrieval.  An instant anti reverse eliminates any back play while the smooth front drag system offers precise adjustments no matter what diameter line you are using.

What I Think

When you ask me about the Pflueger Trion GX-7 series reels all I can say is that I love them, hands down.  This is one of the best bang-for-your-buck reels that you can purchase, that couples high end features with a low end price tag.  When you pair it with the right rod, you’re easily going to have a combo that will last you for a long time and help you bag more fish than you could have ever imagined.  Whether you are using braid, nylon, mono, or other types of line, it doesn’t matter because of the Sure-Click bail system and titanium lip you will never have to worry about premature bail closings destroying the line or having it get tangled up inside of the spool.

Pflueger is one of the best manufacturers of ultralight gear, and it’s easy to see why when you finally pick up your own Trion GX-7 spinning reels and spool it with some high end 2lb or 4lb test line.
